A 2025 camper candlelight letter -

“L, you are perfect at camp, you fit in good! :)”

We are so grateful for how many individuals come to Camp Hochelaga and can understand it to be a home ❤️

We still have spots left for our 2026 season so your camper can experience the joy and belonging our camp had to offer

Ps - do you recognize this candlelight letter? This candlelight letter written by a 2025 camper had no address and no last name on it, and we would love to be able to get it to the right home ❤️

We’re excited to share that enrollment for our 2026 Leaders on the Lake Program is officially open 🥳

This weekend retreat (for young people currently in 6th-12th grades) will run from late afternoon Friday May 8th - Sunday morning. This year for Leaders on the Lake, we’ll be building our outdoor education skills, and practicing creative problem solving as we go “Camping at Camp.” Under supervision of our directors, campers will be given supplies to create their own dream campsite for the weekend together right on our familiar campgrounds 🏕️❤️

Reach out to Lyle Johnston at [email protected] with any questions, or you can enroll your young leader today through our Camper Registration Portal (linked below).

Stay warm, stay safe, we’ll see you back at camp soon! ❤

Camp wouldn’t be camp without singing together at meals and around the bonfire. And songbooks serve as one of our favorite tools to help introduce new folks to camp (as well as remember your favorite lyric to that one song from when you were at camp that you just can’t quite pin down...)

This year, as part of our celebration of 100 years of history on our current campgrounds, we’re printing an updated run of songbooks for our 2026 season and events. As we celebrate this beautiful space that has brought us together for over 100 summers now, we wanted to reach out to invite members of our community to contribute their own “Hochelaga themed” art to be included in our new songbooks.

Anyone is welcome to submit art for consideration: current campers & staff, alums from all generations, as well as camp families and households who want to share of their joy and love for Hochelaga. Please consider that all art will need to be printed in black & white (and possibly sized down quite a bit to fit the pages, or as marginalia). Weather you think of yourself as an experienced artist, or you haven’t picked up a pencil in 30+ years, if you feel inspired to contribute to this project we would be grateful to get to view your ‘Laga art 🏕️❤️

Please find the link below to our submission form💫

For any questions, please reach out to Christine (Camp Director) at [email protected]
