A little late, but another GLTC season concluded for us a few weeks back.

A transmission issue at a lapping day a few weeks before the event necessitated pulling the transmission out. came through (put up with my BS) and helped source some of the parts we needed, in addition to wrestling with a very overheated input shaft bearing and input shaft. The transmission was installed backed into the car, but our issues continued. Out it came again, and it was fixed and installed less than 24 hours before leaving for the event.

At the event, the car felt awesome and I ran the fastest I ever have. Qualifying was tough and I didn’t play the game right; resulting in a fairly average 24th place spot. I worked my way up and managed to stay in the “A” race all weekend, mostly running in the mid-pack until a random throttle body failure took us out of the fourth and final race. Qualifying is very important in GLTC and this is something I need to really focus on for next season. All and all, it was still a great weekend, with lots of close racing and some good times both on and off track as per usual. : )

Thanks as always to , , , , , and my family and friends.

A little late, but another Gridlife GLTC season concluded for us at Lime Rock Park a few weeks back.

A week on from at . A great time as always with the GL crowd both on and off track.

The weekend and the events leading up to it while productive, were a bit frustrating. We had a throttle body failure in testing the week prior. A fresh unit was ordered but UPS did UPS things and a 2 day shipment became 5. Luckily, came in clutch and had a spare throttle body, saving our weekend!

In practice we had oil pressure issues, which we solved for qualifying. In qualifying, as I was finishing my fast lap (very early on) I felt something come loose in the steering. The nut on ball joint had backed itself off… The time I set was just good enough to make Race 1A. During the race, the air intake fell off the manifold, causing a stuck throttle and a DNF (completely my fault). The rest of the weekend was spent in the B races, where there was still some great racing and battles!

Thank you to all who help both at and away from the track! Our next race will be at Limerock in August!

Wrapping up our first ever Mid-West Fest. After being out of the car for 10 months and just finishing it the night before leaving, the fact it ran flawlessly all weekend and drove onto the trailer is a win. I’ve never been to , and we qualified P33 out of 54. Not great, but not terrible under the circumstances. We raced our way to P16 by the end of the weekend, with a voluntary DNF in race 4 (a de-fogger was not prioritized and overlooked). ran his Fit in HPDE on Sunday and never missed a beat. We can’t wait for next year!

recently came on board to help us with some parts on the GLTC car, all of which were fantastic. My family is always very supportive, coming to every race and helping with car preparation. Thanks as always to for the help with tuning and answering a lot of my late night questions. Massive thanks as well to for his setup and driving advice both prior to and during by the weekend.

Onto Mid-Ohio…

Another season of racing concluded and my 2nd season racing in GLTC. I honestly haven’t had this much fun racing in years. The competition in GLTC is next level, with many talented drivers and highly prepared cars, but also a level of camaraderie and community that are second to none.

I’d be lying if I said this season hasn’t been frustrating with little issues, but we finally started showing our true pace this past weekend at Limerock, knocking on the door of the Top 10 and eventually getting into it as the weekend progressed.

I’ve been a major pain in ass all year, but he has always been gracious with his time and has really taken care of us, as has with all his work, and .travis completely re-wiring the car on such short notice prior to Mid Ohio. & have been very helpful with setup advice and hooking me up with some parts, as has helping us sort out tires for both the GLTC and Sundae Cup cars.

My family continues to support me, coming to whatever races they can and helping me maintain the car away from and at the track.

Special shout-out to Kevin Zhu as well, who loaned me a rear wheel this weekend after mine broke during Race 1.

I’m already planning and looking forward to the next GLTC season!
