It is important to understand and appreciate the conservation efforts done to keep our water ways beautiful and healthy. Lots of work is done in order to preserve mother nature where we inhabit.

What a great educational experience! You can have the chance to help monitor our water's health by volunteering with Van Buren Conservation District on May 5th. More details at https://vanburencd.org/macroinvertebrate-stream-monitoring-may-2024/

With volunteers and staff, we enter waterways to collect macroinvertebrates (bugs and the like) to monitor our water’s health. It is a fun experience! Who knew wearing waders and getting in nature was so cool?

Want to get a taste of being in a dragonboat? South Haven Dragon Boat Association - SHDBA will be hosting the first social paddle of the season tomorrow at 3pm. Free to try and no experience necessary. See below for more info.
