Huge congratulations to the Wellesley College squash team for finishing a solid, and hard-fought season! We certainly dealt with more than our share of adversity this year, and finished with a battle against Mount Holyoke in the 3/4 playoff of the Epps Cup. Despite thrilling wins at #1 and 4, we lost an exciting match, 7-2. The team deserves a lot of credit for how hard they fought and how well they played, especially in the second half of the year.

Good luck to our seniors, Meera, Rhea, and Ruby, who have all had tremendously impressive careers at Wellesley and are leaving as better squash players than when they arrived!

Congratulations to Meera, Rhea, and Ruby for fighting so hard in their final showdown against Conn College! Wellesley pulled off a thrilling 5-4 win with help from Eva Mullarkey and Haley Connor at the top of the ladder. Tomorrow we play the winner of the Hamilton/Northeastern match!

Today was the annual Seven Sisters squash tournament at Mount Holyoke. The Blue mounted a furious comeback to beat Vassar 5-4 in their first match of the day on decisive wins by Audrey Fok and Eva Mullarkey, nail-biting wins by Rhea Advani and Eunbie Coe, and the 4-game clincher from Lumi Kinjo.

Unfortunately, a much improved home squad was too much for Wellesley in their second match, though Eva showed remarkable skill, determination, and focus in taking the #2 match 11-9 in the fifth after going down 2-1.

Finally, Wellesley swept an undermanned Smith squad to make it a 2-1 mark this year. Eva and Rhea were named Wellesley's All-Tournament team selections.

Blue Squash capped a successful trip with a quality match against Franklin & Marshall in Lancaster. Audrey Fok, playing the #9 slot, collected her second consecutive win in the top 9, taking Wellesley only point in the 8-1 loss. Next up for Wellesley is Dickinson on Saturday at MIT!
