There are spots open for both the Hunt Seat Future Alumni Cup and Western Future Alumni Cup. Go to www.alumnitoc.com to enter.

Western is open to ALL undergraduate riders. Classes to be held on Saturday, 6/8.

Hunt Seat is open to graduating Seniors. Classes will be held on 6/9.

Meet Mackenzie Simon of UConn!

I've been riding for 17 years
My favorite IHSA horse is Bonnie. She of course will hold a special place in my heart as my first IHSA draw, but over the years it was always a pleasure whenever I had the opportunity to draw her and hope she is doing great at her new home.
My favorite thing about UConn, other than my team, is the number of opportunities they allow us to explore in our studies, without that I wouldn't have taken any equine training courses or known about my current Pharm.D. program.
There is so much I love about my team from the diverse group of people we draw in to our coach, but my favorite thing is when we get new riders and watching them evolve and take on the challenge of either learning a completely new discipline or starting from scratch.
My top goal for 2024 is to send 3 or more riders to IHSA Nationals, as last year we had 2, and each year adding one more.

Major/Minor: Classics & Economics double major
How long have you been riding?: On and off for ten years
Tell us about your favorite horse: My favorite horse is Lily, aka Tejons Lil Dun It. We do ranch together over the summers! She's super cool and a little spicy, as all the best mares are.
Tell us your favorite thing about your college: All of our traditions! M&Cs, Mountain Day, and so many more.
Why do you love your team?: Everyone is so so supportive of each other and challenges each other to succeed both in and out of the saddle. You never have to worry about finding a place to sit in the dining hall, a friend to study with in the library, or a ride to the barn.
Top Goal for 2024: For the team to do well in post-season!

Zone One Area Ten kicked off the season at Falls Creek Farm on October 15th! UConn hosted alongside YEDA teams and we had a wonderful day!

Our first show is Sunday October 15th at Falls Creek Farm in Oneco, CT. It will be a double header hosted with YEDA. We hope to see everyone there! More info to come. We welcome Alumni as well, we will offer both horsemanship and ranch classes for members of Alumni Equestrian Events!
