Well, we’re onto our final officer as we wrap up our summer break! Meet our Manager, Evie Simon.

Evie is a senior who is majoring in Art History and Spanish. Her favorite schoolie is Cru! In her free time, Evie enjoys drawing, embroidery, hanging out with friends, yoga, and hunting for frogs. This summer, she returned to her usual summer job of working and riding for her trainer in Vermont. She is also the team Sponsorship Coordinator!

Even though that’s all of our officers, we still have a lot to share with you all as we gear up for the upcoming year. So keep your eyes peeled for more posts from us! Until then, enjoy these last lovely days of sun!

Two posts in two days? We just have so much to share with y’all! Today, we thought we’d introduce you to our third officer, our Horsemaster Eliza Mutz!

Eliza is a senior majoring in Biology. Her favorite schoolie is Pearl, and outside of her studies and the team, she enjoys riding her horse Hana, hiking, and hosting movie nights for her friends. This summer, she worked and studied as an REU student in Montana, studying antibody absorption in foals.

We still have a few more weeks until school starts, and one more officer to introduce. So until then, stay cool, pet a pony, and enjoy these last weeks of summer!

It’s time! As we approach the beginning of a new school year, we have some dates that anyone interested in the Dressage Team should know about. Swipe through to find some more information on each event. Any further questions can be directed to our amazing Captain, Leah Drew. As we get closer to the start of school and these events, more information will be posted!

Anyone who is looking to be part of the Dressage Team whether or not they are looking to be a competitive member, must come to the tryout info session. This will give all information necessary for tryouts for the competitive roster as well as other vital information for joining the team.

Come, learn about our team, our history and the officers as well as information about our tryouts, the tryout process and what to expect.

if you are a first year student and are wondering what it is like to ride for the Dressage Team or are feeling a little nervous about what it means to be on the team or try out the first year clinic is here to help!

Our Coach, Ali Ingellis, as well as a few of our officers will be there to help you get oriented to the barn’s layout, learn how we run our practices, and introduce you to our horses and riding at Mount Holyoke!

Team tryouts will be held on Friday the 11th. We invite anyone who is interested in joining the team competitive roster to participate in our friendly tryout environment. You must come to the info session first.

This is also a great time for anyone interested in joining the team to learn how we work together and support eachother!

It’s been a whole week since we last posted, we hope you didn’t miss us too much! For our next ‘meet the officer’ post, we’d love for you to meet our Treasurer, Ursula Brueggeman!

Ursula is a Junior, who is Biochemistry pre Vet major. Her favorite schoolie is Two-Step! When not keeping our team’s finances organized, she enjoys hiking, biking, going for coffee with friends and hanging out with animals.

We can’t believe that summer is almost over! While we hope you make the most of these last few weeks, we also can’t wait so see (or meet) you in the fall! Until next week when we introduce our next officer, we hope you enjoy these last weeks of summer sun!

Our Combined Training show is almost here, are you registered? Get ready for this show season with a fun 2-phase competition and dressage show!

Open to the public and MHC community. MHC Students are able to show with a school horse! Additional horse use and instructor fees will be required for your entry if you ride a school horse.

Competitors can elect to participate in both a dressage test and a show jumping round, or just one for a reduced fee! Additional jumping rounds can be purchased in advance or on the day.

Fun and flexible 2-phase and dressage show with an L-rated Dressage judge, straight forward and educational jumping courses, and a quiet positive learning atmosphere. An ideal setting to get back into the swing of things for the Spring or test out new skills built up over the Winter!

MHC Students are able to show with a school horse! Additional horse use and instructor fees will be required for your entry if you ride a school horse!

Competitors can elect to participate in both a dressage test and a show jumping round, or just one for a reduced fee! Additional jumping rounds can be purchased in advance or on the day. Competitors can also elect in advance to complete multiple different dressage tests.

A wide array of divisions are offered from USEF introductory dressage tests to third level, eventing USEA dressage tests, and Western dressage tests. Show jumping courses from lead line w/ poles on the ground to 3’ 3’’ courses. Jumping rounds are not timed and all arenas are enclosed.

Trailer and spectator parking available for ship-ins with limited on-site stalls available for day use. See prize list for more information!

The Mount Holyoke College Dressage team runs this event annually as a team fundraiser and all proceeds go towards team educational opportunities and travel expenses. We look forward to seeing you soon!

MHC hosted our home show this past weekend and finished third to finish out the fall season!

In First Level, Sonia rode a lovely test on Whinny for a fifth place finish! Kate had a blast on Scarlett for first place!

In Upper, Abby had a beautiful ride on Cappy for first place! Elsa had a lovely test on Chili for third place!

In Lower, Jay rode an accurate test on Tex for a third place finish! Toni had a great ride on Charlie for eighth place!

In Intro, Ursula rode a steady test on Ron for ninth place! Victoria had a lovely test on Pippa for a fifth place finish!

In Lower DSE, True drew Viktor and had a blast, earning third place!

In Intro DSE, Ursula did a great job also on Viktor, earning first place!
