Ever wonder what a group fitness class with us is like? It’s this right here…

Coach: “Shawn, you only had burpees 10 left. You’re done. Why are you still going?”

(A few folks in the room were still finishing up their workouts.)

He quietly said, “My team isn’t done yet, so I’m not done yet.”

Thanks for treating, Shawn Labrake!😊.

ALL the firsts for Miss Nora today:

*First class with her friend Brooke.
*First time learning the rope climb footwork.
*First time moving almost all the way up that rope!!

She caught on suuuper fast, and did just as well with the rest of the workout too.

It’s ok to be nervous about trying new things (like Nora was at the top of that rope), but pushing yourself is how you realize just how tough you really are.

Way to GROW today, Nora!! Can’t wait to see you back later this week. 😊

What if?

Here's the deal. Anyone whos gotten to their "destination" would tell you there's nothing there.

You made it to the 50lb weight loss.
You climbed to the top of Everest.
You squat 2x your body weight.
You lost 10% body fat.
You ran a marathon.
You won the Superbowl.

Now what?

And when all these successful people are asked about the achievement you know what they all talk about?

The journey getting there.

Thats the magic. Thats where the memories live. Thats the sweet sauce. And when you find the power in the next step and not the final step you will find the will to keep going. The desire to push on. You will feel like you have won day after day, because you understand the other mindset is a vicious loop of disappointment.

And then say you dont get there. What do you have just like the picture says? No achievement? No trophy? No million dollars? No diploma?

The only thing you "have" are the experiences you've lived through along the way. The people you've met and the feelings that come with them.

So if there is no guarantee that you will walk away with anything, you'd be crazy not to find the value in the day to day.

Those who feel most aligned, alive and fulfilled feel the power of the moment. The beauty of the session they just had. They feel the pride and the excitement and the passion while writing the book not selling it.

Find your "why" in everything. Why exercise? Why work? Why love? Why show up for family and friends? Why practice your hobby? Why do anything?

Identify the value. What do you love about that thing. What makes you laugh? Feel so alive? Brought to tears? Elevated? The most important and deepest lessons and reasons that drive us are harvested in the now, the current moment. Take a second and breathe them in.

And remember that when things get hard, the progress stalls towards the end goal, the journey took a turn you weren't expecting, that those are just prompts to writing the coolest chapter you can imagine. Because the end of the book is just that, the end. So fall in love with the pages, the passion and craze, the mundane and quite, thats where you will find the most precious answer to question above.

Just because someone else got one too doesn't take away how special your's is.

I'm not sure how much you all know about T ball but it was my first time being around the sport of baseball at all. I had never played. I had a glove and threw a ball once and a while but never did anything organized within the sport.

So here we are now with an amazing young man Micah, who just finished his first T ball season! I had the opportunity to help Coach which for most of you that have gone through this know, your basically picking kids up off the dirt from laying down, trying to get their attention from picking Daisy's, yelling to keep their eyes up because the ball just went by them and wiping off boogers and slobber while they are remaining PLANTED on the base even when it's time to run lol.

So each game our Head Coach gives out a game ball to a different player. We explain that only one person gets one each time to the kiddos and that they just have to keep showing up with good attitudes each week and game and they too will get their own game ball.

At this age a game ball based of merit is ludacris! The most important thing is that they come back and try again. So this is for sure the best way.

It's Micah's turn to get the ball and this is where the whole conversation ties into health, wellness, and personal achievement.

He gets his handed to him and I swear to you he just won the lottery. He is all gasps and big breaths and all the "oh my gods" and "I can't believe it", you name it he was so smitten and so freaking happy he got his own game ball!

You know what never EVER crossed his mind.....

That someone else got one before as well. Or that his must not mean anything. Or that their's was cooler. Or that he's better than anyone else.

ZERO comparison.

He was so proud. So happy he got one. Held it the whole way home. Genuinely so darn happy.

Here's the rub first, then the value.

There is almost nothing a human will do anymore that is authentic or original. At this stage, someone else has done it. So you will most likely never do something brand new. That's the rub but thats OKAY!!!

Here's the value of what we learn from a 4 year old getting a game ball....

All of your adventures in life are JUST FOR YOU!

You get to pick the rides. You get to pick the games you play. You get to chose what matters and what doesn't (for the most part).

So play the games with intensity like you are an Olympian. Ride the rides like you are a thrill seeker and can't wait for the next one.

And when you make the big lift or run faster than you've ever done..... CELEBRATE like no one else matters because guess what .... THEY DONT! Slam the bar, scream out loud, call your bestie, buy the prize gift you earned.

It's YOUR game ball. It's YOUR level up. It's YOUR achievement and nobody can take away the pride, the excitement, the passion, the joy, the euphoria that comes with all of that if you don't let them.

So what there's someone out there that got the promotion before you. Someone lifted more. Someone won the Spartan Ultras too and a figure skater won gold and a CEO made a billion. Just because it's been done before does not make it any less AMAZING that you did too!

These are the best reasons why as parents we train and not only that but we keep the kids involved, tagging along even if they dont want to because eventually they will find their own curiosity takes over.

Jaxon has come with his parents Amanda and Josh for years now and he quietly sits on the bench and does his own thing most of the sessions and every now and then he would want to see what they are up to and try it out.

Time passes and seasons move and hes done really well with baseball this year and I think hes feeling some confidence. He wanted to join Mom and Dad for this session all on his own and had fun with it.

This is the greatest gift we can give anyone is an opportunity to grown in a safe place with encouragement and support along the way. We keep showing up and they do to and eventually magic will happen!

Great job Jax and PS. I love the bar slam at the end! Bring that energy my man!
