I met Braddic in June of 2021 when he was just 6 years old, and I knew from day one there was something special about that kid. I hadn’t seen him in 5 years, and this weekend he played in our UTR Match Play event, went 2-0, had an absolute blast, and played awesome tennis. All of the hard work is showing!
I also met Milly this weekend. What a talented player, and an even kinder, happier junior. There is no ceiling for her.
Thank you to everyone who came out this past weekend. Cape Cod Tennis and I always appreciate the support.
Playing old rivals (11 years strong now, thanks Jason!), meeting so many new players, chatting about potential colleges, discussing life, and embracing the fun in competitive tennis—it was one of those weekends that reminds you why you love the sport. Even one great point can light up your whole day. I also enjoyed seeing some of our “Advanced Beginner” ladies (not so beginner anymore!) absolutely crushing it. What a fulfilling weekend!
Our next Match Play weekend is June 28-29.
One side note…
If you see Riley training hard on the court this summer, running obstacle courses in the backyard, or packing her bags, there’s a reason. She has her sights set on Rome this fall. The catch? She needs to win Little Mo in New Jersey in September.
Her attitude has been pretty simple:
“Mom and Dad, I’ll just work really hard at tennis this summer. I got this. Rome will be amazing.” — Riley, age 8½
Gotta love that confidence. ❤️🎾🇮🇹
