June 18
1972 – Paul O’Connell hit a two-run homer, while Chuck Dragoon and Craig Billups hit solo shots to lead Post 20 to an 8-5 win over Ellenburg as the local legion players won their first-ever CVBL contest. Greg LaBarre had three hits for Ellenburg.

Tom Kowalowski had four hits and drove in six runs to lead Lyon Mountain to an 18-7 win over Elizabethtown. Jeff Benjamin, Ron Chase and Charlie Kowalowski had two hits apiece.

Gary Giroux had five hits, including a homer, to lead Peru to a 17-5 win over Plattsburgh.

1977 – Pete Camelo hurled a two-hitter and struck out 12 to lead Saranac Lanes to a 10-3 win over Elizabethtown.

1978 – Gary Barber ripped a two-run single and Paul Savage followed with an RBI hit to lead AuSable Forks to a 3-2 win over the Miners.

Jim Shutts drove in three runs, while Alex Benware and Mike Yasment each had two RBI to lead the Lions to an 8-2 win over Ellenburg.

Steve Stanley had three hits and three RBI and Dean Benson had three hits and two RBI to lead the Plattsburgh Merchants to a 16-2 win over Keeseville. Don Nims struck out seven to earn the win.

Jack Leggett went 4-4 with four RBI to lead the Burlington Expos to a 15-0 win over Saranac Lanes.
