Unbroken Fitness Welcome to the newest addition at Adam's Total Fitness. We offer several levels to accommodate all skill levels, from beginner to elite.

Unbroken Fitness offers Cross-Training classes, taught by four certified instructors, that incorporate cardio, weightlifting, Olympic lifting, and gymnastic movements. All participants must complete an introduction class before beginning the program. Classes are offered Monday-Friday at 5:30am, 8:30am, 4:30pm, and 6:30pm. Classes average an hour long. Open gym hours are also offered as long as the facility is not being used. Tentative start day is Monday, January 1st!

The 5k/10k run will take place in the Village of Ocracoke through historic neighborhoods, by Ocracoke Harbor, and by the 2nd oldest lighthouse in the United States in continuous service. The course is basically flat.

Don't confuse muscle definition and size with function. Bodybuilding is about form - size and symmetry are the goals. Other sports are about movement. To be successful in weightlifting, powerlifting, Crossfit, football, soccer, basketball, etc. you need power, control, coordination, speed, and balance. The main goal of training for these sports is NOT to change how your body looks but instead to improve how your body moves.
This means if you want to get better at your sport, you need to focus on training movement patterns rather than isolating individual muscles. This means training the squat, deadlift, press, lunge, hinging motions, pulling movements, etc. Dont spend your time doing an "arm day, back day or chest day" IF you truly want to become a better athlete.
Muscles will NATURALLY develop as you work these different patterns - making some athletes appear to have done some bodybuilding training. BUT here's the deal, the main FOCUS must be on training movement, a great physique is a side effect by-product of training.
