It'll take a win by Penick and a P7 or worse by Milam next Saturday night for a swap at the top for all the marbles. 🐝🏆

After post race review we were declared the Winner of Saturday’s race.
Not the way we wanted to take # 3 but it does move us closer to the Championship next race.

𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍 🤑 Chris Penick is the official winner of our Dollar General Hornets feature on Saturday night!

After post-race inspection/review, Penick earns his third victory of the year, and tightens the points gap to first place heading into Championship Night on Sept. 12!

Hitachi Energy Race Weekend Recap:
Friday practice showed promising results.
So we went into Race Day with the same setup.
It was a little too free first practice so we tightened it up a smidge for qualifying and qualified outside pole.
Even tho we lost the track due to rain we made zero adjustments which worked out in our favor. The car was perfect. We came home P2.

However what happened after the race was a very extensive tech process which included left front strut assemblies, valve covers, and throttle bodies which apparently was being filmed for some unknown reasons. We passed AGAIN because what I’ve been saying all along is true. IT’S STOCK!!!

All and all a great weekend at the race track with the family. Onto Championship Night in 2 weeks.

𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 🐝 Landon Milam's dominant performance on Saturday night solidified him as the Dollar General Hornets points leader.

With two races remaining, he'll need to thwart the swarm twice more to bring home his first championship.

Davenport Energy Race Night at South Boston Speedway recap:
We went out Friday for practice and had great speed but rain rolled through and changed the track dramatically overnight. Race day comes around and from the first practice I knew something had changed overnight. We were a too tight. We made an adjustment for qualifying and still was a smidge too tight. We qualified P4.

Handicapped from the last race we had to start P6. We were able to move up to 4th but the car was still a smidge too tight. Was able to finish P6.
Weather rolled in so our second race was cancelled. Not the night we were hoping for but the car is whole for the 29th.

Let’s go finish the season out strong.

After a long 3 weeks off it’s finally Davenport Energy Race Week at South Boston Speedway.
We have Twin 15s on deck for Saturday night. Green flag drops at 7 and we start the night so come on out and enjoy the show!!
