Week four of HOVA Winter league is this Saturday 01/28. Please arrive by 11:45am at the latest to check in. We will be back at HSC this week, layout will be Longs (Frog Legs). If you are looking to qualify for the two round league champions tournament and have yet to play a round then this is a must for you, as there are only three more events in the regular series. For all other information please see the winter league document pinned at the top of the HOVA page. We Look forward to seeing you all on the course! This coming Saturday HOVA’s 3rd Annual Winter Singles League begins. It will continue Saturdays in January and February.

** This will be a PDGA Sanctioned League where players will receive Rated Rounds.(PDGA memberships not necessary and non member fees don’t apply either)**

This league will be at the following locations with the weekly rounds beginning at 11:45. The two round final championship round begins at 9:00.

- 1/7 : Hampden-Sydney College’s Tadpole Holes : Shorts layout
- 1/14 : HSC’s Tadpole Holes : Mixed layout
- 1/21 : Appomattox’s Elk Creek : Main layout
- 1/28 : HSC’s Tadpole Holes : Mixed layout
- 2/4 : South Boston’s Edmunds Pk: 20 hole layout
- 2/11 : Off / Make up day
- 2/18 : HSC’s Tadpole Holes : Hybrid layout
- 2/25 : Two round FINALS HSC’s Tadpole Holes

There will be 3 divisions.
Pro/MA1
MA2- intermediate
MA3- recreational

Cost is $6 per week with optional $1 ace and CTP

Championship round qualifying is 3 league rounds

PDGA FALL LEAGUE will begin this Saturday at Edmunds Park. We will start at 1 pm at hole #4. Entry fee is $5.00. An addition$1.00 for ace pool which is currently capped at $300. Come join us.

A huge shout-out to everyone who came to our Dynamic Discs Veteran's for Vets BYOP Doubles
event yesterday at Edmunds Park.

The conditions were less than ideal, but the cause was well worth the entire experience.

Between our raffles, our 57 competitor entries and other donations, we raised $1170 for the American Legion in South Boston!

This was an awesome success and I want to thank everyone who contributed their time, funds and skill to this achievement.

One of the best moments of the day for me is when one of our local vets came to thank the tournament staff and told us that when we paired his grouping, it was his first time for him being able to play a round with a Navy, Army, Marine and an Air Force competitor on the same card, ever.

It definitely made my day.

The Southside Virgina Disc Golf Association will be hosting a Veterans for Vets benefit event in South Boston at Edmunds Park on Feb 29th (This date was chosen to fit in between the current BRAWL schedule).

This event will be held to benefit the local American Legion. It will be trophy only, but you will get a 2 disc players pack for entering. The format will be a 2-round BYOP doubles event (less than 36 holes total).

We will have a CTP buy in and we will offer lunch on site. All proceeds during this event will go to the local American Legion.

If we get 25+ teams to sign up Dynamic Discs will send us a red, white and blue colored Veteran basket ($450 value) to raffle off to the players.

Come out and support our nation's veterans!
