2015 Michigan salmon season has been slow with south winds and warm temperatures. Things are starting to change with fresh groups of king salmon starting to move up western Michigan streams. Fishing is still hit and miss, but some fall weather will get things rolling. The Pere Marquette river by Custer is seeing some action as well as the Big Manistee river by Pine Creek and Bear Creek. The Betsie is starting to fish well in the lower sections! (Lower Betsie river and mouth are once again open to fish!) The fall season is 99% booked, and I am looking forward to cooler weather and fall trout and steelhead fishing.

Back from AK, wow what a great summer! Still a few Fall Steelhead dates open and a couple of salmon dates that have opened. Good numbers of fish are in the rivers and many more on the way. Fall steelhead fishing should be good by early Oct on the Manistee river, and the Pere Marquette should be awesome in Nov!
