Pumpkinman is all about the collective of people who make it what it is. The crew behind the scenes you will never see (rare photo with my workhorse husband Brad here though…and missing some of our other amazing team from Saturday!) The volunteers who wake up before the sun to keep you safe. The generous venue. The people who choose to race with us whether for their own personal goals or just because they like our welcoming and inclusive vibes. Or maybe it’s for the after party brunches where like-minded people get to hang out after accomplishing something super challenging. Whatever the reason, you are what makes us the most unique, well run race out there. We make lemonade out of lemons when the skies open up, and we make decisions on the fly when we need to adjust. It’s also about the amazingly supportive community of South Berwick and surrounding towns. This is a work of heart and I am so appreciative of every single person involved in one way or another! Happy 20th!

Pumpkinman weekend is almost here! 🎃🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️

South Berwick will be welcoming athletes for The Pumpkinman Triathlon & Running Festival this Saturday, September 12, 2026 and Sunday, September 13, 2026! Get ready to cheer them on! 📣👏

If you’ll be driving through town on race mornings, please keep an eye out for runners and cyclists and expect some temporary traffic stops. Roads will remain open, but members of the South Berwick, Maine Police Department will periodically stop traffic to let athletes safely pass.

🚦 Saturday: Traffic impacts may begin as early as 4:30 AM, with the triathlon starting around 7:00 AM.

🚦 Sunday: Traffic impacts may begin as early as 6:00 AM, with running races starting around 7:00 AM.

If possible, avoid the race area until around noon. If you need to travel through, please give yourself some extra time, slow down, stay alert and follow directions from police and race personnel. Thank you for help keeping our athletes, public safety personnel, residents and other drivers safe. 🚩

A little patience goes a long way — and a little cheering goes even further! 🎉

Make sure you are race ready with Philbrick's Ski, Board & Bike!! Don't forget about their clinic Wednesday at 5pm on tire changing! Craig and Meg will also be onsite from 4-6pm Friday night during packet pick up. You can also pop into the shop Thursday from 10am-6pm...just give them a call!
