Whatβs mindfulness? Something I tend to notice when people watching is how βnot in the momentβ people can be, myself included. From observing difficult situations to the happiest of experiences, we arenβt fully there.
One thing I try and do each day:
To π±πππ.
To acknowledge the moment.
To embrace the emotions attached to that moment.
To π±πππ the emotion with my whole heart.
To accept that in this moment, the present situation, I am here.
Iβm not there five minutes ago, I was, but now I am not.
Iβm not five minutes from now, I will be, but Iβm not there in this moment.
Remember, mindfulness is never about being happy, but being present. Through good and bad, the highs and lows, the happy and the sad, through all emotion, take notice, embrace all these feelings in this moment, without judgement.
Do not hide them, do not make it more than what it is.
π±πππ your emotions, feel it. Feel it hard. Remember itβs perfectly fine to feel. But then let it go, for after that moment it no longer serves you.
