I hope every one has enjoyed their winter! Daylight is starting sooner, lasting longer, and I can feel my body desperate for sunshine and warmer days spent outside!
It’s March, which means naturally March Madness is at the front of my brain.
While there are few things in life that I love more than watching college softball in the Spring, I can get behind watching any sport where raw passion fuels the competition.
What I feel is often forgotten, while tuning in, are the hours and hours of hard work and dedication that elite athletes INVEST into their craft. It is not by chance, luck, or a lack of effort --I can assure you that.
They put in time because they LOVE the grind, and desire to be the best. They bought into the idea early on that effort = success.
While I would LOVE to spend my entire day giving lessons, hosting workouts, and talking to the youth about nutrition and body positivity, there is just simply not enough hours to spare. Working 45+ hours as an insurance agent, practicing yoga, and squeezing in as much time as I can in the kitchen and with my loved ones doesn't allow for me to spend multiple nights a week at the facility.
All that being said, my goal has always been to support, encourage, and motivate your daughters to WANT TO be the best they can be. Thankfully I have a tribe of inspiring friends who equally want to impact the next generation as badly as I do.
Starting next week, while I am already fully scheduled with hitting lessons from 5:30-9:00pm, Nicole Nickoson who helped in years prior with speed and agility, played with me at Purdue North Central, and is a Mystique alum, is offering 30 minute intense workouts.
2 players per 30 min slot, $15 per girl. The small numbers will allow for intimate instruction, and The opportunity to modify where necessary.
