This photo, and so many others that we use on our website, on Facebook and in printed materials, was taken by one of our very talented volunteers who puts her talents to use for Reins of Life in a bit of an unexpected way.

If you have a special talent or skill that you would like to include in your volunteer efforts for Reins of Life please let us know the next time that you talk to us.

Examples of such skills that some of our volunteers have shared to help support the programs at Reins include skilled embroiderers who help us by putting the names of our horses on their personal saddle pads, quilters who have made special quilts for our annual fundraiser, gardeners who have helped maintain and beautify our facilities, etc.

We look forward to learning about your talents that you may like to include in your volunteer efforts!

Did you know that Reins of Life works with several different area schools throughout the year to provide programming for their students? South Central shared this picture from yesterday, their last visit of the 2025-2026 school year.

We had a great turnout at the 45th Annual Benefit 4-H & Open Horse Show! The weather held off, and it was a fun-filled weekend for all of the contestants, families, volunteers, and Reins of Life participants.

Thank you to everyone who came out to show, support, volunteer, and cheer on the riders. Events like this would not be possible without our amazing horse show community, dedicated sponsors, and hardworking volunteers. We are so grateful for everyone who helped make the weekend such a success!

It was a busy weekend for Reins of Life! Not only did we host our Annual 4-H and Open Show (more to come on that later!), but we also took 6 of our Interactive Vaulting students to an event in Galesburg Michigan on Saturday.

We hit some snags on the way up with some road closures causing delays, and a flat tire close to nowhere but everyone made it there safely in the end. Our students all performed well, learned new things and, even more importantly, operated and behaved as a true team. We are so proud of how well they not only vaulted, but also how they handled adversity, schedule changes and disruptions and still had a great day and performed well!
