Throwback Thursday: For eight consecutive seasons—from 1983 through 1990—Saint Joe claimed the Holy War victory over Marian. It remains the longest winning streak for either side in the rivalry.

Girls Flag Football won the first-ever Holy War in the sport last night, beating Marian 21-12! The defense had 34 total flag pulls and 13 pass breakups in the effort, with two goal line stands. Alexis Williamson led the team with ten pulls, while Carina Reaume added six and also grabbed an interception as time expired. Senior Peyton Hopkins added two QB sacks.

On the offensive side, quarterback Myla Blazejewski connected with eight different receivers, going 17-for-19 with 223 yards and 3 touchdown passes. Ari Rowell led the receiving corps with 57 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown reception. Payton Wulf and Addie Dees also found the end zone, while Sisi Freeman caught five passes for 44 yards.

The Huskies take on Elkhart next week on the road on Wednesday, and then host Jimtown on Thursday on Senior Night.

Heartbreak on the pitch last night. Boys Soccer fought Marian tooth and nail for all 80 minutes, but fell just short in a 1-0 battle.

The Cross County teams competed in two meets yesterday. Girls Varsity placed 3rd overall in an 18 field at New Prairie with the Boys placing 2nd. Both JV teams won the City championship yesterday as well. The Girls won for the 8th straight year led by Nathalie Brodeur's 1st place finish. The Boys team won for the 4th straight year led by Patrick Letherman's 1st place finish. Way to go, Huskies!
