Practicing yoga Asanas move our body into an out of a variety of positions. Our bodies are unique and so is the way we experience each yoga pose. A greater understanding of anatomical alignment and bio, mechanical forces and poses can increase strength, flexibility, and mobility. Awareness of alignment also allows us to deepen our practice by exploring poses in our individual bodies.

Surya Namaskar or some salutations are part of almost every yoga class. Often we move quickly through the sequence without noticing the position of our body, and how it moves through the poses. In this class, we will break down the major posture and transitions, and some salutation. Whether you’re experienced or relatively new to yoga, this class will expand your understanding of the classic yoga poses.

Join us for a joyful community yoga class accessible and open to all in celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
Facilitated by Aspen, this 75-minute all-levels practice will celebrate community, authenticity, acceptance, and belonging through the dharma of collective joy.
We’ll move through a slow and steady flow of breath work, meditation, and poses to a playlist with music by LGBTQ+ artists.
