Why is this sandbar yelling? It just found out it was the 400th individual shark (representing 17species) contributed to science since the SOFO Shark Team joined the Peterson Lab ( )of SoMAS StonyBrook in 2022. Unprecedented number in such a short time. Thanks Team for all the hard work and sacrifice.

A few years back the Shark Team decided to create a chalkboard to record the field season’s running tally. We just passed the half way point. To date, we have 133 individuals scientifically worked up representing 11 different species. Not bad for just getting started.
