*** UPDATE UPDATE ***

After a R/U finish at yesterday’s PGF States Texas Blaze (FL)-Johnson will be holding its 1st of 2 team tryouts for the upcoming 2024 Summer Season this Saturday. Address is below. Due to facility request our tryout times have changed for our first one. We will now be working from “12-4” not the previously mentioned 10-2, please arrive 15 min early. Our 2024’s are signed and committed to play for their respected colleges and we will be looking for 2025-2026 athletes in these respective positions.
1- Catcher
2- Third Base
3- Pitcher
4. Infield Utility

Friday brings our last player spotlight of the week, and it couldn’t be more deserving! This is our C/O 2024 Jesse Camacho. Jesse attends St Joseph Academy and is our returning Captain/Leader. When you think of the word TEAMMATE her picture would need to be by it! She is the 1st to high-five or the first to pick up a spirit. Jesse brings a big bat that seems to rise to the occasion when it’s most needed. Jesse is a welcome part of our pitching staff & works with our 1st base rotation. This team would not be the same without her and we are delighted to have her and the Camacho family part of the Blaze!

Thursday brings 2 more player spotlights! We start tonight with a familiar face C/O 2024 Alex Avera. Alex attends Trinity Christian Academy and has played with us a time or 2. We have her full time and we are so excited! Alex brings a super strong & consistent bat to our lineup, and will work with our pitching and IF rotation. One of the things we admire so much about “Country Girl” as we like to call her is her dugout presence. She is THAT teammate.. and we are so very happy to have her and the Avera family part of this team!

Next up tonight is one of our newcomers C/O 2025 Blakely Kite! Blakely attends Mt. Dora High School and will come in and help lock down our outfield. She grabbed our attention at tryouts with her athleticism and also with her exiting/motivating attitude! With her speed and gap to gap line drive power we fully expect her to be an instant threat at the plate! We welcome Blakely & her Family to the Blaze!

Next up on our player introductions is another new player. We are thrilled to add C/O 2024 Danika Jones! Danika attends Leesburg High and will be solidifying our MIF and is an extremely disciplined batter at the plate! She will come in and have an immediate impact on this team on the field & in the dugout as well! What a wonderful addition Danika and the Jones family is to our Blaze family!

Happy Tuesday! Continuing our look at the Texas Blaze (FL) 16u-Johnson roster our next 2 will start with one of our returning players C/O 2025 Alizae “Sugar” Blas. Sugar attends Hardee Senior High and is a vacuum in our infield! A very disciplined hitter, we count on her small ball as well as her gap to gap ability! We are proud to have her back with us as well as the entire Blas Family!

Next up on our roster is one of our new additions, #6 C/O 2025 Kadence Compton. Kadence attends Ft. White High School and is an absolute dominant presence on the mound, she will make college & opposing coaches stand up and take notice! Kadence will help our 3rd base rotation when she is not pitching and brings a strong solid bat to our lineup! We are very exited to have her & the Compton family part of the Blaze Family!

After a very good 1st of 2 official tryouts we are very exited to welcome Class of 2024 SS/OF Danika Jones! Danika blew us away with her skill set, hustle and personality that we were looking for! Danika attends Leesburg High where her father Brett is the Head Coach of the softball team. The Jones’ are a wonderful addition to our Blaze family! More good things to come, 2022 is going to be a great season! 💯💪🏻
