Happy retirement to this amazing boy. We have seen so many things together and I am honored to be able to love this boy for many years to come. No more saddle time for this boy due to his "roaring" (laryngeal hemiplegia). He has always had this issue since he came into Hoofbeats and we have closely monitored him. His work has always been light. Yesterday he had a very scary moment while doing some groundwork. Our vet and I have decided the best option for his health and longevity is to retire him. Surgery is an option as well but I will not do that just so he can be ridden. I have always been a firm believer that horses are not just riding tools. He will have the best life alongside his daddy, Rascal, and other herd mates. I am beyond grateful for the tribe that surrounds this herd no matter what.
