You hear me give this science-based info in an easy to understand way in our classes. Sadly, though I appreciate Andrew Huberman's work, he doesn't mention yoga for 32 minutes, and then acknowledges he knows little about it- proven by the fact he attributes the documented brain and body benefits of yoga to being able to "push through" discomfort- a typical workout mentality. The beauty of yoga is proven by the science of stretching... pushing and straining creates a rebound response, while using our breathing to be curious about sensation in the body, welcome it and breathe with it in a welcoming way, keeps us "in the zone" where stretching can be most effective. Mr. Huberman doesn't mention breathing at all, while he does note that a nervous system in a parasympathetic state is more receptive to stretching. I post this simply as a validation for what you do in class every day! Still appreciate Andrew Huberman's efforts overall!
