✨ Twenty amazing Girl Scouts, one beautiful morning , and countless smiles. 💕 It was such a joy sharing yoga, mindfulness, movement, and moments of connection with these incredible young ladies. Watching them laugh, balance, breathe, and support one another reminded me that yoga is so much more than poses—it’s about confidence, kindness, and community.

A special thank you to troop leader Jamie Angosto for bringing everyone together and creating this opportunity. ❤️

🎢 Day 5 of 20 – A Lesson from Dorney Park

Today, while watching people line up for roller coasters, I was reminded of something.

Some people are excited to try them.
Some are nervous.
And some avoid them completely.

Not because they can’t do it…
but because it’s outside their comfort zone.

Yoga can be exactly the same.

I’ve met so many people who tell me:
“I’m not flexible enough.”
“I’ve never done yoga.”
“I don’t think it’s for me.”

But sometimes the things that help us grow the most are waiting just outside our comfort zone.

What is one thing you’ve been wanting to try but keep putting off?

🏋️‍♂️ Day 4 of 20 – Gym or Yoga?

One thing I hear all the time:

“Priya, I go to the gym. I don’t do yoga.”

My answer is always the same…

Who said you have to choose?

The gym builds strength.
Yoga builds mobility, balance, flexibility, and mindfulness.

They’re not competitors.
They’re teammates.

Maybe the question isn’t Gym OR Yoga.

The Answer is Gym AND Yoga. 🧘‍♀️💪

🌎 Day 3 of 20 – What Yoga Has Taught Me

Yesterday, a student attending my class for the first time noticed my accent and asked if I was from India. After class, he shared how much he enjoyed learning from an Indian yoga teacher.

That conversation stayed with me.

Over the years of teaching yoga in America, I’ve realized something beautiful: when people step onto their mats, it doesn’t matter what their skin color is, where they come from, what language they speak, or what they do for a living.

For that one hour, we breathe together, move together, and share the same positive energy.

Perhaps that’s one of the reasons yoga is celebrated around the world—it has a unique way of bringing people together.

🙏 See you tomorrow for Day 4 of the countdown to International Yoga Day.

☀️ Day 2 of 20 – Why June 21?

Have you ever wondered why International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21st?

June 21st is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. In the yogic tradition, it symbolizes light, energy, and transformation.

That is why millions of people around the world come together on this day to celebrate yoga—not just as exercise, but as a path to health, mindfulness, and well-being.

I’m honored that through a collaboration between Swear by Yoga and Hillsborough Township Parks & Recreation, our New Jersey community will be part of this worldwide celebration. 🌎🧘‍♀️
