FREE ONLINE LESSON SATURDAY MAY 16, ALL ARE WELCOME
This Saturday, May 16th there is a complementary National Lesson for all students, past students and anyone interested in Oom Yung Doe. The lesson will be taught by a National Instructor and held via Zoom video conference.
The lesson will be Shin Hyung Su with Foundations. Shin Hyung literally means "the figure of smoke." The figure or form of smoke is ever changing. Once absorbed the practitioner becomes as elusive as smoke. If you try to punch smoke, it will disperse. If you try to grab it, it will vanish.
Offense and defense are executed in one fluid action. The foundation techniques in this lesson will help you to bring out the true quality of the techniques while improving your flexibility, coordination and strength. Chulgwon pearls (1–3lbs) would be beneficial for this lesson but are not required.
POST LESSON DEMONSTRATION: The Oom Yung Doe 4 Level System
After the lesson, you will see a demonstration from Instructors of all levels in the 4-Level System: Instructors, Regional Instructors, National Instructors, and Master Level Teaching Team Instructors.
Oom Yung Doe is unique in that students learn from four levels of instructors, and each level is responsible for a different aspect of a student’s development. Through this system, you quickly and safely develop Moo Doe skill and ability and improve your condition for a better quality of life.
HOW TO ATTEND THE LESSON:
Step 1. Make sure you have an Oom Yung Doe Learning Center Free Membership (If you already have one, move on to Step 2). The lesson is free, but you do need a membership to the Oom Yung Doe Learning Center to get the streaming link. You can get a free membership by visiting https://oomyungdoe.com/learn/. There is no credit card required, just your name and email and some other basic information to personalize your experience. It is quick and simple. Get your membership now - don’t wait until Saturday. That way, if there are any issues, we can help you resolve them before the lesson.
Step 2. Make sure you can run Zoom Video Conferencing. The lesson will take place on Zoom Video Conferencing. We recommend using a laptop or computer (not a phone) when connecting to Zoom so that you have a larger screen. When you are viewing the instructor during the lesson and you are going through the movements, a phone screen is pretty small and it is difficult to see details.
If you have not used Zoom, we recommend you test out your connection and setup before the lesson using this test link: http://zoom.us/test.
Step 3. Login to the OYD Learning Center and Click the National Lesson Live Stream Button on Saturday at 1:00pm EST | 10:00am PST. The Learning Center will have the live link shortly before the lesson. We recommend logging in at least 15 minutes early to test your connection and audio / video prior to the start time.
When you log in to the Learning Center, it will look like the image below. You will click on the National Lesson Live Stream Card (shown below) to access the Zoom lesson.
If you have any questions send us an email at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.
