We were all Zach strong, let's continue it by being Deane strong. I know you may not have the words or know what to say, but who truly does in the moment of grief and loss, for there are no words. Hugs of strength and support, tears of understanding and empathy, presence in knowing we don't travel this road alone...

Zachary Deane
SBRHS student who loved soccer
Zachary G. Deane, age 17, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. He was the loving son of Jason and Ashley (Newman) Deane.
Zach had just completed his junior year at Somerset Berkley Regional High School, where he was not only known for his dedication on the soccer field as the team's goalie but also for his vibrant personality. His love for Manchester United and his passion for video games and building with Legos were just a few of the things that made him unique. Zachary’s black belt in karate was a testament to his dedication and perseverance. He treasured time spent with his family and friends, always bringing joy and laughter to those around him.
Along with his parents, he leaves behind his loving sister, Emily Deane of Somerset, as well as his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Nancy Newman of Somerset and his paternal grandparents, William and Janet Deane of Florida. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
His Funeral will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, located at 866 County Street Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Those of you who are unable to attend the service may join via Facebook livestream. The link may be found on the funeral home's website.
