Our kids were TOUGH to deal with insane wind and snow at this year's State tournament on Big Eau Pleine near Wausau where we took 42nd place out of 85. We found Crappie and Walleye but other species were non-existent at our dozen spots we tried on Friday and Saturday. Our kids were resilient, patient, and had fun! Thank you to the record amount of parents that came down to help their kids and pull Anderson out of the ditch! We sold one winning raffle ticket this year so our five year drought is over! This can be found on the WIFA website. We had such a terrific time and made memories for a lifetime. Congrats to Owen for being awarded a Master Angler plaque for his six fish. Edwin was in the final three out of 800 students for a free guided trip! Anderson was in the final 10 for the same guided trip for just the coaches. A true adventure! Thank you to everyone that has supported us including parents, sponsors, and club members themselves!

Today was BEAUTIFUL and team Anderson And Pals won the Long Lake Tournament grand slam! Owen hooked a 31.5" and 31" pike to crush the competition. Easton also won biggest panfish (not crappie) for his tank of a sunfish. Panfish were HUNGRY and everyone got on the action today. All eyes are on State this Saturday where we will compete on location on Wausau on the Wisconsin River. Our adventure starts Thursday after school!

THANK YOU to everyone that showed up to be a part of our 2026 Bass Lake Tournament! We had lots of great things happen today including: record adult participants at 217, record kid turn out for awesome games and fishing, record quality perch involved in the Panfish Pail competition, record participation in panfish Pail by a mile at 18, and record money fundraised! View more photos on our Facebook post. The support from our community cannot be measured in only dollar signs. Somerset Alumni, parents, and our own club members that work in our tournament to make it the best it can be are truly amazing. We had a full warming trailer from a parent with free hot chocolate from two true baristas! A fire pit was donated by a parent that was nice and toasty as well. Photos of the winners by a parent is another example for what great support we have. This club gives kids a chance to grow in our team motto which is Character, Conservation, and Citizenship. Today was a great day for so many people and also to demonstrate our collective love for fishing and the outdoors. Thank you again to our sponsors that donated money to run our wonderful tournament! Without them, this cannot be possible. We had fantastic weather with sunshine all day. What a special day it was!πŸŸπŸ†

Here is our official 2026 ice report! Please read carefully but it should be extremely safe out there for driving. Solid ice, hardly any snow, but keep in mind that ice is never 100% safe. Been getting the question: Can I fish in a shack? Answer: YES you need to be safe and warm. We trust nobody will cheat a high school fishing fundraising competition for $300... See you Saturday! πŸŸπŸ†πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ🏼

Today we ventured out to team up with New Holstein High School virtually in the WIFA Tag Team Competition. We did well even if we didn't catch a Walleye and needed three. That's how she goes! As of now we're second in the state among the few schools that participated. There is still next Saturday and Sunday to fish for other schools including our partners in crime, New Holstein. Next Saturday is also our Bass Lake Tournament fundraiser with 1000s of dollars in prizes to give away. Official ice report coming this week. Thanks everyone!

Ice looks to be plentiful for driving but will be officially measured and reported next week. Temps will also not be arctic levels and look to be in the 20s. Bring your kids for some games, prizes, and youth competition too! If you have any questions please message us. Thanks y'all!

Today we completed our State Qualifier #1 by trying to get 300in with 7 game fish and 13 panfish. We were short of the goal and found tough panfishing. Christian carried the team today with a 28.5 and 27.5 pike! A great first meet for 2026πŸŸπŸ† Make sure to keep spreading the word on our Bass Lake Tournament on January 31st!

We're excited to release our 2026 Bass Lake Tournament prize flier! Best year of prizes yet thanks to a variety of generous sponsors. We'll put together another sponsor appreciation and regulations soon. Tournament runs from 8am-2pm with registration starting at 7am. Two competitions are Big Fish Stringer (three best fish total length) and Panfish Pail (total weight of ten biggest panfish which is the St. Croix County daily limit). $20 for all participants to enter and try one or both competitions. Door prizes are for everyone! May the odds be in your favor. Minnow guessing game, kids games, and fishing competition is free to try. We're expecting drivable ice at this pace of growth. Please message us with any questions! Until then, tight lines and rip lipsπŸŸπŸ†
