With deer season rapidly approaching I wanted to take the time and share some interesting statistics after spending ample time in the stand after harvesting my Ohio buck on Oct. 17th last year.

The “Flip Out” was designed to mimic the chaos of the woods/leaves when the bucks are actively seeking, chasing or fighting. No deer can do the above activities without making a commotion. That’s why deer calls fail 90% of the time. They stop, they look, they listen, they know. My success rate of calling in bucks was over 86% (2025), and some were fooled multiple times. I would call them in to 20yds or less, let them walk out of sight and call right back in. I videoed each one and we shared many many videos on our page. I have been hunting since the age of 12 and am turning 50 this year and have been able to harvest over 40 deer with my bow. This is the most effective grunt enhancement system you can possibly have. You don’t want to be up a tree and wish you had one. It’s so simple yet unbelievably effective. Don’t knock it until you try it. 36/43 deer called at in 2025 came to within shooting range. The morning I harvested mine it was the 5th buck I called in. Good luck to all. Please share your story in the comments if you tried the flip out! Yesterday I was able to catch this stream on a down fall after the rains we have been having and the water temps range from 64 to 66. The fish were eating and I fished the same two flies the whole time. Walt's Worm Hare's Ear/ Pink Bead and CDC Caddis Red Dog's Olive/ Pink. The news this morning said the almanac is predicting a cool wet fall. Looking forward to it!

The recent rains led Zane and I to Potter County, (aka Gods Country). The two day trip certainly had some memorable experiences. From a flat tire and not much sleep to catching endless trout. The streams we fished were all in the 50 degree water temps which is unreal real for August. What a summer it is for fishing. Hot flies were the white Dt, purple collar Walt’s, and the calabaetis nymph. livelylegz.com
