As we wrap up another 6th/7th Thunder AAU season, it’s hard not to reflect on just how much these girls have grown over the past two years—both on and off the court. 🏀
A very special thank you to Coach Tony Bowling and Coach Sean Ross for stepping up and volunteering their time to pour into these girls. Neither of them were required to do this. They do not have daughters on this team. They weren’t their middle school coaches. They simply saw a group of young athletes with potential and chose to invest in them.
For the past two years they have given their time, energy, patience, and knowledge to help these girls grow as players, teammates, and young women. That kind of commitment doesn’t go unnoticed, and it means more than words can fully express.
Watching them build confidence, learn the value of teamwork, and push themselves to be better has been something special.
As this chapter of Thunder AAU comes to a close, we can only hope that those who take the helm moving forward will continue to pour into these girls and those that will come after them the way these two coaches have—because that kind of leadership makes all the difference.
Thank you Coach Bowling and Coach Ross for everything you’ve done for these girls. The impact you’ve made will last far beyond the basketball court.
💙🏀
