This is a sad sight.

While going through storage, I came across this box of belts. These were belts ordered and set aside for students who were getting ready to test — students who were right on the edge of earning their next rank — but they dropped out before they got there.

I have others around the house too. This is just the box I grabbed.

It hit me looking at it, because what I’m really looking at is a box full of unfinished goals. A box full of “almost.” A box full of people who were closer than they realized.

And yes… there are even some black belts in here.

But here’s the good news: it is never too late.

Life happens. People get busy. People get discouraged. Schedules change. Confidence fades. But that does not mean the door is closed.

I’ve held onto these for you.

And we would be more than happy to see you come back, step back on the floor, and earn the belt that was already reserved for you.
