🚨 The 2026 Bay State Games Girls Soccer Showcase is now open for registration, and tryouts begin this week. As a current High School Soccer coach, we wanted to reach out to you to let you know that many of our teams are still looking for players.

⚽ Participation in the Bay State summer games is not only great for your student-athletes to be seen by college scouts, but also opens up additional opportunities.

🥅 WHAT ATHLETES GET
• Exposure to dozens of college scouts and 12+ programs
• Access to scholarship opportunities and informational webinars (BSG athletes only)
• High-level competition against top Massachusetts players
• Ambassador Program - build leadership skills and strengthen a college resume

🏫 As of right now, this year's showcase already has over 12 college programs RSVP'd. If you have players who are serious about competing at the next level, this is a legitimate opportunity to get them in front of the right people.

All athletes are required to attend at least one tryout to be considered for the team. The tryout schedule is below.

The Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation is a non-profit organization with the primary function of organizing the Bay State Summer and Winter Games. These programs attract more than 7,000 athletes from the state of Massachusetts, who compete in over 30 different sports.

🌞 Kids Summer Learning Center at SBRHS offers week-long, 2/2.5 hour sessions in everything from: fine arts, performing arts, cooking, athletics, writing, gaming and more!!

⚽ We have added a Soccer Workshop this summer the week of July 20th coached by recent graduates/Varsity players Owen Lambert and Julia Costa.

Players grades 3-8 can enroll - they DO NOT need to be Somerset or Berkley residents to enroll!!!

Swansea Somerset Youth Soccer League "ssysl" Swansea Somerset Youth Soccer League WWW.SSYSL.NET is now accepting player registrations for our 2026 Fall Recreation Soccer Program. ⚽

SSYSL is proud to be celebrating our 43rd anniversary this year, and we welcome all players to participate in our program! Please complete your online registration at www.ssysl.net by clicking Registration Info and then Available Programs. Please register your player for the grade they will be entering in Fall 2026.

Returning for 2026
⚽ Pre-K and Kindergarten Division Only: To reduce the burden on volunteer coaches and parents, practices and games will take place on the same day. Players will participate in a 25-minute practice/soccer activity followed by 25 minutes of game play. No additional weekday practices will be held.

⚽ Grades 7–9: We have entered into a joint venture with Westport and Fall River. Grades 7–9 games will be played in Fall River against Westport and Fall River recreation teams. We entered into this partnership to give our players the opportunity to compete against different teams rather than playing the same SSYSL teams week after week.

Registration opens on June 1, 2026.
2026 Recreation Fees
First player: $120
Second player: $100

Third player and additional players: Family maximum of $250 (players must reside in the same household)

Our open registration period ends on July 19. After July 19, SSYSL will continue to accept registrations; however, a non-refundable late fee of $25 will be added to each registration. Registration closes on July 31.

Games are played on Saturdays at North Elementary, beginning on September 12, 2026, and continuing for the next nine weeks. (9-game season; games will be played Columbus Day weekend.)

⚽ Grades 7–9
The season begins on August 29, 2026. Games will be played on Fridays at Brittland Park in Fall River.

🆘 SSYSL needs volunteers to serve as Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches. Please consider helping out—we cannot do this without your support. SSYSL will provide assistance and resources to help you prepare for the season.

GOOD MORNING SSYSL FAMILIES!
In case you missed it, this is your final reminder to remember to take advantage of your free registered player NE Revs ticket to our Spring night TONIGHT, Saturday, May 16th!
The weather is forecast to be a warm spring night, join us with your SSYSL friends and families for the final MLS game at Gillette Stadium before the keys get handed over to FIFA and all eyes turn to World Cup 2026.
The NE Revs are hot this season, currently sitting in the top 3 in the Eastern Conference and have only lost 1 game at home, scoring 15 and only conceding 5.
