There’s been a hardware store in Solon Springs for as long as anyone can remember. Solon Springs Hardware was a helpful place, chock full of parts and supplies located in the community’s downtown business district. In June of 2004, the little hardware store downtown suffered a total loss fire. So the owners took a gamble and moved the business closer to US Highway 53, west of the downtown business

district…and tripled its size. Today, Solon Springs Mercantile continues in the tradition of having what customers want – where they need it – smack dab in the center of the natural beauty of Northwest Wisconsin. The Mercantile still stocks a full-range of hardware; but today also includes a sporting goods department, seasonal greenhouse, gift shop as well as snacks & beverages.
