T-Bone Sailing Team

T-Bone Sailing Team "T-Bone" is a Chesapeake Bay J/35 racing yacht based in Solomons Island, Maryland. Most of our races are day or weekend events on the Chesapeake Bay.

However, T-Bone has also participated in some long-distance races, too. In 2009, T-Bone completed her first off-shore race from Annapolis to Newport (Rhode Island). In 2010, she did the Bermuda Ocean Race (Annapolis to Bermuda, over 750 nautical miles). More recently, T-Bone participates in J/35 Fleet 7 racing in the Annapolis area.

This past weekend was quite an adventure. “Foiled Plans” best describes it. Saturday was Little Choptank and Sunday was the Spring invitational. The Carbo Foil on the head stay had a slight malfunction on Saturday and a full failure on Sunday. Unfortunately we will be out this coming Wednesday doing repairs.
