Reminder Family Visiting Supplies:

You can bring your own cooking utensils (spatulas, ladles, cooking spoons). Please note: there are limited quantities available inside family visiting of cooking utensils (spatulas, ladles, cooking spoons) which can be checked out on a first come first served basis.

Additionally, visitors will need to bring their own plastic utensils (forks, spoons, knives), plastic or paper plates/bowls, and cups to use during family visit as those are not being provided.

Please refer to the Family Visiting Handbook April 20205 (which can be found in earlier posts and in photos section) for quantities and specifications.

Donations:

For those who would like to make donations for either regular in-person visiting or family visiting, you should contact Visiting Staff via email at [email protected] to initiate the donation process.

To donate DVDs for Family Visiting, you need to reach out to Jamie Schultz via email and request a donation form. You will email the completed form back to Jamie. Once the donation has been approved, Jamie will email you with instructions for donating the approved DVDs. For DVD donations only- Family Visiting staff can hold DVDs to give the family who donated first use before the DVDs will go into the Family Visiting inventory for all to use.

Per CTF Admin, once a donation is made it becomes property of CTF and is distributed at the discretion of CTF staff. Please note: CTF Admin has previously provided that there is limited electrical capacity in the family visiting units and therefore additional electronics may not be allowed.

Message from SIFC Regarding Impacts to Mail Distribution:

Effective immediately, the Division of Adult Institutions is temporarily pausing the distribution of all incoming correspondence, priority mail and confidential (legal) mail, publications, special purchases, and vendor packages to address a recent surge in contraband identified during mail processing. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation remains committed to safeguarding staff and the incarcerated population. Normal distribution of all incoming mail will resume on Monday, February 23, 2026. Outgoing mail will continue to be processed during this pause.
