San Diego Kyudo

San Diego Kyudo We are a Japaenese archery (kyudo) dojo affiliated with the Southern California Kyudo Renmei and American Kyudo Renmei.

We welcome observers any time and accept beginners once a year. We are a traditional Kyudo (Japanese archery) dojo affiliated with the Southern California Kyudo Renmei. Head Instructor: Jannette Curran, Renshi Godan

New students are welcome and will be supplied with equipment to begin their training. Bows, arrows and uniforms are not needed to begin Kyudo training. While we are a makiwara dojo on

Our ultimate goal is the increase of Kyudo awareness and participation in the SD area and an overall increase in exposure of Kyudo to Southern Californians. 2026 Beginner's Course:
Our 2026 course runs from March through May this year.
Applicants must have watched at least one complete class before March 1, 2026 to qualify. No appointment is necessary.
Classes run for 3 hours: 10am to 1pm
*Course dates:
*Mar: 1, 8, 15
*Apr: 12, 19, 26
*May: 3, 17, 24
*Each class builds upon the previous class for a 3 month course.
There are no refunds or substitute sessions.
