The Chief Instructor is Coryl Crane Sensei, 7th dan Shihan. Chiba Shihan. Both its ambience and training are deeply rooted in Japanese culture and etiquette.

North County Aikikai is a school dedicated to the art of Aikido as passed on by its founder, M Ueshiba, and his direct disciple, TK Chiba Shihan; it is affiliated with Birankai North America. Coryl Crane Shihan is North County Aikikai's founder and chief instr

uctor, having studied under Chiba Shihan for more than 30 years. She respects the traditional roots of the art while expressing and interpreting them through her own cultural experience and those of her students. Our community of Aikido practitioners is committed to the pursuit of the art through rigorous training and an on-going dialogue founded on mutual respect and commitment. We work to maintain a healthy, growing community which preserves the technical and ethical principles of O Sensei while also ensuring the relevance of the art to future generations. North County Aikikai is a member of Birankai North America, an association of Aikido dojos founded by T.K. Through Birankai, North County Aikikai is affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation, Tokyo, Japan.
