We fished today in some rough water and found only one direction that they were aggressively feeding and giving us a chance to get them in. Despite the crew’s staying ultra aggressive on the rods they still managed to get away. At the end of the fay we had a very good box of nice size Spring Kings congratulations to the crew. The 2026 season started in the beginning of April like a dream. We had great color along the shoreline and the Browns where everywhere. They were very aggressive often getting doubled and tripled up. It’s a great feeling to watch a family all with fish on and talking smack.

Today, Sunday March 29th, the Wayne County Captains had our first work party for our fish pens. We will be receiving roughly 90,000 salmon that will be placed in 4 pens prepped today.
We are expecting our young salmon to arrive on April 13th from NY DEC. We as the captains are looking for any and all donations to offset the cost of the pens. If you wish to donate please approach any of the charter captains that you know.
