This hunt has been Cancelled

We will be holding a 3 hour, 2 class buddy hunt for Derby / All age dogs at 12:30pm on November 1st. Derby’s will be even Numbers, All Age will be Odd Numbers. We will stop taking entries at noon in order to do roll call and get everyone paired up for judging and placed into position in the field for judging. All dogs will be placed in our dog pens so we can cast them into the pen at 12:30.
$30 entry fee with 50% payback. Will pay 1 place for every 8 dogs entered in each class
I will start taking calls for numbers Wednesday October 21st at 7 am. Please no calls after 9pm

We would like to thank everyone who attended the puppy/derby buddy hunt this past Sunday. This was our first time doing a buddy hunt and it opened my eyes to some things we will do differently for the next buddy hunt to help get things done in a more timely fashion. We had a nice group of pups and derby dogs and the running was good for all 3 hours. Congratulations to everyone. The results were as follows

We will be having a 2 class Buddy Hunt for puppies and derby’s on October 18th. We will cast at 12:30pm and run for 3 hours. Entry fee is $25 per hound with a 50% payback in each class. We will pay one place for every 7 hounds entered per class. Pups will be even numbers and Derby’s will be odd numbers. Pups will be Oct 2019 and younger, Derby’s will be Oct 2018 and younger

We would like to thank everyone who helped make the benefit hunt for Craig Locklear a success. Devin Locklear and Mike Brit for bringing to our attention that action was needed and for their efforts in making this hunt a success. The hunters, the judge’s, the ladies who baked cakes and called on their friends to bake cakes. To all of the people who showed up and volunteered their time to make this a successful hunt. Thanks to Todd Price for donating your time and equipment to feed everyone an excellent breakfast and lunch. Thank you Jimmy and Leslie Howard for donating all of the trophies for the hunt. Thanks to Charlotte Green, Tammy Bullock and Barbara Broad for making sure everything was up to s***f ahead of the hunt, keeping us stocked up during the hunt and taking care of everyone during the hunt. I have to thank Matthew Tomlinson, Bubba Lee and Andrew Brunson, the war horses that take care of the pens on a normal basis. They always go above and beyond to maintain both pens and make improvements as we go along. I apologize to anyone I have left out because there were so many people who donated both their labor, time and money to make this a successful hunt.
There were 93 hounds in the hunt. The running was really good considering the hot and dry conditions. The results are as follows

We would like to thank all of the judges and hunters for attending the Sand Hills All Age Hunt yesterday. We could not have any hunts without either the judges or hunters, thank you all. I would also like to thank Todd for bringing his cooking trailer and Bryan and Todd both for cooking for us. I can’t thank Matthew, Bubba, Jordan and Andrew for all you do to keep the game fed, keeping the pen up and making improvements as we move forward
We had 60 All Age dogs show up out of the 69 numbers given out. The running was really solid for the entire 4 hours of the hunt. I was in the trailer working the computer a lot during the hunt but every time I walked out of the trailer I could hear the hounds. The results are as follows:
