The WTX Bombers 11U put together a strong weekend at Reyes / Mashburn / Nelms Park, finishing with four impressive wins before falling in the championship matchup against the WTX Hawks.
The Bombers opened tournament play with a 6-4 win over the Coahoma Diamondbacks behind a huge day from Brody T, who went 3-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run. The Bombers racked up 11 hits and showed aggressive baserunning with seven stolen bases.
The offense stayed hot in a 10-6 victory over the Midland Angels. Brody continued his monster weekend with another three-hit performance, including an inside-the-park homer, while the Bombers piled up 15 hits as a team.
On Sunday morning, the Bombers earned a big 5-0 shutout over the Tall City Spartans. Brody dominated on the mound with 10 strikeouts over five scoreless innings, while Kye G and the defense helped secure the clean sheet.
The Bombers then showed incredible resilience in an 11-9 comeback win over Elevate Baseball after falling behind early. A huge nine-run first inning flipped the game, and the team collected 14 hits in another explosive offensive performance.
The weekend came to a close with a tough loss to the WTX Hawks in the championship game. Despite the outcome, the Bombers battled all weekend long and showed heart, toughness, and teamwork every game.
