Before we officially close the book on the 2026 season with our end-of-year banquet this evening, we’d like to recognize a sponsor whose impact reaches far beyond a banner, a sign, or a donation.

For four seasons, Brea Bursch - Photographer has helped tell the story of Snohomish Baseball, providing team photos and video, game coverage, custom graphics, social media management, and visual storytelling that helped showcase our athletes, celebrate our accomplishments, and connect our program with the community and sponsors.

Thousands of images. Hundreds of posts.

From media day to the final out, her work has helped preserve memories for players and families while elevating the visibility of Panther Baseball both on and off the field.

The photos, graphics, and content shared throughout the season don’t happen by accident. They happen because someone is willing to invest their talent, creativity, and time into the success of a program they believe in.

Thank you for four years of support, dedication, countless volunteer hours, and yes… plenty of dugout snacks.

Panther Baseball is better because you were part of it.

The door closed.

Bottom of the seventh. Two outs. One play that didn’t go our way.

Final score: Snohomish 1, Decatur 2.

But this season was never defined by one moment.

It was defined by a group of young men who won together, battled together, and represented Snohomish with pride every single day.

To our seven seniors:

Thank you for the leadership.
Thank you for the example.
Thank you.

The next group will chase victory because they watched you chase it first.

You come to compete.

The Panthers opened tournament play with a shutout win behind seven scoreless innings from Trevor Vorderbruggen and Blake Smith.

Rider Walsh and Chase Clark paced the offense with two hits apiece.

No sightseeing.
No victory lap.

Just another game in a season that’s still being written.

Back in February, state felt a long way off.

Now it’s one bus ride away.

This group earned every bit of this opportunity. Through rainouts, extra innings, practices in the cold, and one of the toughest schedules around, they kept showing up.

Today, they get another chance to do what they’ve done all season…

Compete.
Trust each other.
Play Panther baseball.

STATE. WE’RE READY.

The bus is loaded. The brackets are set. The road leads to Auburn.

Before these boys take the field tomorrow, we want to pause for a moment of gratitude.

Thank you to our sponsors who invested in this program. To our fans who packed the stands, traveled the miles, and believed in these guys from the very first pitch. To our school and administration for supporting Panther Baseball every step of the way. To our coaching staff for the countless hours, lessons, and belief poured into this team. And to the families who have spent months juggling schedules, washing uniforms, making meals, driving carpools, and cheering from every corner of the ballpark.

This season belongs to all of you, too.

Twenty young men. One town behind them.

The destination is state.

Last time it was Almost Playoffs… and our highest converting post. EVER.

You all understood the assignment.

This week? We’re raising the stakes.

Almost State.

Parents. Players. Fans. Friends. Even a few brave volunteers who probably should have known better. The photo submissions rolled in, and once again… some of these pics deserve their own scouting report. 👀

For now, we’ll laugh at the pictures.

The story of the morning: a walk through the Promenade while the student body, staff (and our very excited moms) cheered us on. A time honored tradition reserved for teams who are making state runs and a chance for the school and community to share in the triumph.

Before the buses roll south. Before first pitch at state. Before the lights, the pressure, and the moment these boys have worked all season to reach… there was tonight.

One last team dinner together at Ixtapa Family Mexican Restaurant. Loud tables. Full plates. Teammates shoulder to shoulder. A chance to slow down for just a minute before the biggest weekend of the year.

Huge thank you to CAV Glass and Window, the Davisson family, and Ixtapa for sponsoring tonight’s meal and taking care of our Panthers before they hit the road to state. This community continues to show up for these boys in the biggest ways.

Next stop: Auburn.
