WELCOME Luke!

He is a 7th grade powerhouse! He is interested in potentially doing 10 events. 😊

How impressive is that???

He was able to come in and experience one, 1 hour session with us and pick up the fundamentals of throwing---keeping your elbow up, turning your feet, and squaring your shoulders off to the back of the ring.

Whoo-who we are rooting for you kid! We can't wait to see how far your going to go!

Olympic lifts are crucial in the throws! It gives you an immediate advantage for sure. It allows you to become stronger and quicker---training our "fast twitch" muscles.

Squats, power cleans, high pulls, bench, & power snatches! There are some more too but this is a great start.

As noticed in the picture, as Olympic lifters we are always fighting to stay tight and keep a good arch in our back throughout the entire lift (or set). Another couple keys is keeping the chest up, and knees pushed forward & out.

Do you have a lifting coach? If not, GO GET ONE! They really are beneficial to your future success. It's time to hit BIGGER marks!

He hit a huge PR in the discus of 20 feet, and a 2 foot PR in the shot put after ONLY a two hour training with Hooks Academy.
