There is so much to be thankful for.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who reached out personally. The support and care everyone has shown for my well-being blew me away, and I'm so grateful. A huge thank you to the entire CARS Tour West safety team, the Wenatchee Valley Super Oval safety team, Candice Hornaday, Jeremy Anders, Zandar Peters, and everyone else who helped me out of the scary situation I found myself in, dangling upside down.

Secondly, I am extremely grateful to VanDoorn Racing Development for building such safe race cars. The car did its job and kept me safe. A big thank you to The Joie of Seating for making the safest seats on the market, MPI Steering Wheels for making a safer wheel, and Ultra Shield Race Products for ratcheting seat belts. I'll never trust my life with anything else, and I will be a customer for life.

As many of you know, I try to see the positive in everything. This is no exception. Because of the companies and the people at them, I was able to walk away with only a few nasty bruises. Motorsports safety, especially at local short tracks, has come a long way in the last 10 years, and this crash is a prime example.

As this is a bittersweet end to our first year on the road with the Cars Tour Northwest, I am so proud of the speed we had all year long. We created memories as a family that will last a lifetime and, most importantly, had fun doing it. I am so grateful for the Cars Tour and their commitment to racing in the Pacific Northwest. I've always wanted to be featured on the Door Bumper Clear Podcast, but this isn't exactly what I had in mind.

Unfortunately, the car is most likely a total loss. As we head into the off-season, we have a big rebuilding task ahead of us. We plan to take some time to regroup, see what we can salvage, and get ready for next year. That said, the 2027 season starts now, and we have space available for additional partners! P6 @ Tri-Cities ✅

We had a lot of speed; just too many mistakes behind the wheel. I’m so proud of how far we have come and the speed we’ve found. Time to get back to work, find some more, and get ready for one last run at the Wenatchee Valley Super Oval in 2 weeks for the Jerry Berschauer 125 to close out our 2026 season!

P3 at the Summer Showdown!!!

First off, I want to thank EVERYONE who has reached out; the support my family and I have received has been like nothing I could have ever dreamed of!

To end up on the podium with Kevin Harvick at my home track, which I’ve been going to for as long as I can remember, is a memory I will cherish for a lifetime, and being able to have one of my best friends, Zandar Peters, up there after finishing 5th made it even better.

My dad and I both work so hard, and it’s really cool to see that pay off this weekend. It’s been a long journey to get here, but I wouldn’t trade the nights spent out in the shop for anything.

To everyone who has helped us along the way, I owe a lifetime of thanks! When we started down this path, it was never about chasing success or wins, but about creating lifelong memories and doing something we both wanted to do our whole lives. Racing has given me so much, and I am forever grateful to have been born into it.

Another huge thanks to the Cars Tour West for giving us this platform and conducting some awesome short track racing. The investment Kevin Harvick, Tim Huddleston, Candice Hornaday, and everyone on the tour has made, not only monetarily but with their time, is something truly remarkable and is helping to put west coast short track racing back on the map.

We have 2 more races on our schedule, with the next race at the tricky triangle at Tri-Cities Raceway for the Labor Day Spectacular on September 5th! We’ll keep working hard and enjoy the process and journey. Support your local short track, and if you can’t make it, make sure to tune in to FloRacing and don’t miss a second of the action all season long!

Summer Showdown on deck!

So greatful for everyone that helped us get here and super excited for my favorite race of year! Be sure to head on out to Evergreen Speedway or tune into FloRacing live at at 7:00pm PST!

🚨SUMMER RAFFLE TIME!!🚨

We had this planned for a while, but we have decided to change the cause! In light of the recent events in Spokane and across the Inland Northwest, we will donate half of all proceeds to the American Red Cross Wildfire Relief Fund. With so many people affected, it’s the absolute least we could offer. Our continued thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected.

We are raffling off a race-used door from the 2026 season and your choice of shirt (any size) from our online merch store!

Spots are available for $10 each, and we are hoping to sell 100 spots!

The other half will help cover our tire bill at one of my favorite races of the year, the Summer Showdown.

We are currently accepting Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal.

The drawing will be held Wednesday, August 12th at 6:00pm!

Please pray for Spokane and the entire Inland Northwest!

As the wildfires continue to impact the Inland Northwest, many people’s lives will be forever changed, with more than 700 structures already lost and over 65,000 people evacuated from their homes. As someone who calls this region home, please pray for our firefighters, first responders, and everyone affected.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
