The earth’s biggest cyclocross series. All are welcome. We welcome anyone and everyone to our races. Never done cross? Never raced at all? No worries.

MFG Cyclocross was founded by Terry Buchanan and Zac Daab in 2009, who built MFG into one of the biggest cyclocross series in the US. In 2022, Off Camber Productions took over as the new steward of this iconic Seattle bike racing institution. Our courses are designed so that everyone can participate. Throw on your cutoff jeans, grab a bike (or a Lime bike) and join us. You can call it a race you want, or not.

Hey MFG, we wanted to share info about the nearly dozen rides around Washington state today and tomorrow honoring Alex Petti.

Kudos to for aggregating the many wheeled tributes planned. From the Seattle Bike Blog:

At least 10 communities across Washington State will answer the call to ride in honor of Alex Pretti, the VA nurse and bicycle adventurer federal agents killed in Minneapolis.

Critical Mass’s monthly ride Friday will be to honor Alex Pretti, according to the the Critical Mass Seattle Instagram account. As always, the ride meets up 6:30 p.m. at Westlake Park on the last Friday of the month, which is this week. Alki Bike & Board is hosting another ride 11 a.m. Saturday to coincide with the Minneapolis ride that started the now-global event. Saturday’s event may be one of the largest coordinated bike rides in history.

Bike riders across the state have answered the call and are planning Saturday rides, including:

Bellingham (11am Elizabeth Park)
Galbraith Mountain (MTB ride, 11am South Galbraith Mountain parking lot)
Lopez Island (3pm at Village Park)
North Kitsap (11:30 at Port Gamble Heritage Park)
Olympia (2pm Heritage Park Fountain)
Spokane (12pm Shadle Park Public Library)
Tacoma (11am at 2nd Cycle)
Winthrop (11:30am Lloyds Fatbike Trails)

Registration for the 2026 GRiT Adventure Gravel Ride is officially open, and yes—this one’s for you, MFG folks. If you’ve spent your fall and winter pinning on numbers, heckling friends, and racing bikes through parks, consider this your summer adventure counterpart. Mark your calendar for July 18, 2026 and come ride somewhere very different with the same crew you already know.

The GRiT is an adventure gravel ride through the remote wilds of the North Cascade Mountains, starting and finishing at Crystal Spring Sno-Park just east of Snoqualmie Pass. If you’ve never “done gravel” before, don’t overthink it—cyclocross bikes work great, and let’s be honest, most of you are probably already racing MFG on what looks suspiciously like a gravel bike anyway. Big terrain, quiet roads, a little singletrack, and a full weekend vibe make this a perfect mid-summer goal.

Gravel riding meets mountain biking—this is what we call Adventure Gravel. GRiT dishes up stout climbs, rewarding descents, bits of singletrack, and a constantly changing mix of surfaces where the only real question is: gravel bike or hardtail?

New for 2026: Primus. We’ve added a fourth course designed for newer riders or anyone looking for a shorter, more approachable day. Primus clocks in at 20 miles with just 1,300 feet of climbing, skips the spiciest descents, and keeps things fun without the full suffer-fest. Alongside our longer routes, it makes GRiT more welcoming—and easier to right-size your adventure.

We’re also leaning even harder into the post-ride scene at Crystal Spring Sno-Park: more food, more drinks, more hanging out under the big Cascade trees… and yes, maybe even another Sasquatch sighting.
