Three swimmers. Ten races. Eight personal bests. 💙
Day 2 of the 2026 SRST Champs Qualifier Meet is a wrap — and NWAC swimmers delivered in a big way.

Out of 10 events, our athletes achieved 8 new personal best times. That’s preparation, discipline, and belief in the process.

What truly stood out wasn’t just the times on the scoreboard — it was teammates cheering each other on, respectful sportsmanship, and our swimmers’ focus and determination.

One of the most exciting moments of the day came when Madilyn Jones surged in the final stretch of her 100 IM, charging back to win her heat. A perfect example of grit, race strategy, and confidence under pressure.

This is what athlete development looks like — confidence growing with every race.

We are proud to represent families from Oak Harbor, Coupeville, and across North Whidbey Island.

As we approach the Winter Solstice and our school district’s winter break, we want to wish all our NWAC Swim Families a warm and happy holiday season. Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, or enjoying a secular break, we hope this time is filled with rest, joy, and meaningful moments with family and friends.

With many families traveling and the pool closed intermittently over the holidays, please note the following practice schedule:

• Regular practices will continue through Monday, December 22
• An additional practice will be held on Tuesday, December 23, for all groups following normal group practice times
• Holiday break: No practices from Wednesday, December 24 through Sunday, January 4
• Practices resume on Monday, January 5, following our normal schedule

We’ve truly enjoyed the opportunity to connect and reconnect with our swim families this season. It’s been wonderful to see our swimmers in the water—learning, improving, and competing—and we are grateful to be part of such a supportive and dedicated community.

Thank you for a great season so far. We wish you a happy, healthy holiday and look forward to an exciting New Year together.

So proud of Iqra for qualifying for Championships and stepping onto that deck with confidence, courage, and joy. 💙

She walked away with personal bests in the 100 Back and 50 Fly, but even more importantly, she earned the experience, the memories, and the growth that come with competing at this level.

Champs isn’t just about medals — it’s about showing up, believing in yourself, and soaking in the moment.

We couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations! 🏊‍♀️✨
