Welcome to "Tru Wheels", here you'll find information and pictures about our cycling wheels and "Team Tru" (see web site). We build custom cycling wheels designed for Road, Criterium, Mountain Biking Cross Country and Cyclocross racing. The "Tru Wheels" of American Cycling, not reinventing just innovating. What we feel a great wheel should have: Durability, Stiffness, Lightness, Affordable and Maintainability.

Salsa Cutthroat now has a set of gravel tubeless clinchers. The wheels are built with Industry Nine hubs and 27mm wide carbon rims with Sapim CX Ray Spokes. Wheel weight 1195g.

New for 2018 is T800 Carbon Mountain Bike Rims. They will be replacing the T700 carbon rims. This new carbon is stronger so less carbon layers can be used when building the rims. The new rims are 40 grams lighter and are stronger.
This will reduce our top of the line TRU Wheels weight from 1520g to 1450g + / - 20g. These wheels are built with Industries Nine Hubs and Sapim CX Ray bladed spokes and alloy ni***es. Price $1250.00 per set.

Our winter break will be over in early March and it’s back to work building wheels. We have Mountain Bike Wheels to build for the 2018 race season. We also have Gravel Road Wheels to build for ride across Michigan and the Dirty Kansans. If you need road wheels check with Bill Buckwalter at Ride On Bikes in Wooster, OH. Bill have a nice selection of clincher road wheels.
