The Bogey Boys Tournament had a great turnout!

Hats off to Jeremy Parsley for turning his vision into a successful event, and a special thank you to his family for always supporting him and helping make it happen.

Congratulations to Chris Tramel, Stuart Brown, and Kenneth Rice for turning in an impressive score of -14!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this tournament such a great day on the course. We look forward to seeing you at the next one!

Update on our swimmer that you all helped pray for…

Today, she came back to the pool with her mom by her side to thank us all personally.

Seeing her smiling, talking, and doing well was a blessing that brought tears to many eyes.

Thank you for every prayer that was lifted on her behalf. They were heard, and today we were reminded just how special our community truly is.

😊😊😊Lifeguard of the Week 🏊‍♂️

This week’s Lifeguard of the Week is Kiece Hannah, a three-summer lifeguard with our pool family!

I’ve had the joy of watching this young man grow up, and it has been amazing to see the person he has become.

In just the first two weeks of the pool season, Kiece has already made three saves, demonstrating the dedication, attentiveness, and skill that every great lifeguard should have.

Kiece is always wearing a smile, full of energy, and ready to help wherever needed. When he’s not at the pool, you’ll find him playing basketball and spending time with his friends.

We are incredibly thankful for Kiece, his hard work, and his commitment to keeping our swimmers safe. 

Congratulations, Kiece! We are proud of you and grateful to have you on our team!

We are absolutely loving these phone calls from generous folks who want to make a difference in our community!

There is nothing quite like seeing the smile on someone’s face when we tell them their pool admission has already been paid by a caring neighbor. Those moments truly make our day.

Let’s do a huge shout-out to the Hayes Family at Smithville’s Golf Caddy Shack!

Their generosity continues to make a difference in our community. They have graciously paid for 10 pool entries so local families and children can enjoy a day at the Smithville City Pool.

Thursday June 11

Update, according to her mom she’s doing well.

Today, we experienced an emergency at the Smithville City Pool involving a young lady who is now receiving care at the hospital.

I want to give a huge shout-out to our incredible lifeguards, pro shop staff, the people in the crowd who stepped in to help, our dispatchers, paramedics, and especially the young lady’s friend who quickly came to me quickly when it mattered most.

We train and train for situations like this, but until you’re faced with a real emergency, it then becomes very real.

Today, our team responded with professionalism, courage, and teamwork.

I am beyond proud of our staff and grateful for every person who played a role in helping during this situation. It truly takes a community, and today our community showed up.

Please keep this young lady in your thoughts and prayers as she recovers. ❤️
