Tonight was the smithton southern storm softball 16u teams final game of the season… cancelled due to the heavy rain that occurred. What did our girls (previous Saa players) and their coaches(previous Saa coaches) do???? Well they went to volunteer at the Afton Fields! In a world full of chaos and negativity… thank you for your character, positivity and leadership!!! You are true representatives of our small but strong town!

It’s getting Hot!!!

The District 19 rule states at any point throughout the day if the heat index reaches 105 or above the games should be cancelled. If we’re on the brink or just below the coaches are to use their best judgement on whether they’d like to cancel. On the NWS website it shows the High for Heat Index as 102 today. So for today it is the coaches discretion.

Coaches do have the option to move their start times back an hour or so if you’d like. Just make sure you communicate that with your families and opposing team.
