Tomorrow has alot going on at the field.

Practice on the middle and back fields and a tball game.

Good opportunity to make a little money for concession.

I reviewed the schedule, and unless somebody has rescheduled an away game that I'm not aware of, nobody plays on this day.

I cannot stress the importance of having at least one coach at the meeting.

If you are participating in the league as an active coach, board member or officer, I'm requesting that you attend the meeting.

We have alot to cover and more volunteers are needed to keep everything running smoothly into the fall.

We have alot of cool things coming up and I just need everyone's support. - Jen

This is ABSOLUTELY open for players at Smithfield. Here is a small description of how and why.

Hopefully this will help with additional questions.

The requirement for players from the Smithfield Youth League (SYL) to try out for All-Stars or sanctioned tournament teams through the Fairchance Youth League (FYL) is primarily due to how Little League International handles territorial charters and administrative boundaries.

​In Pennsylvania youth sports, especially in Fayette County, these arrangements usually boil down to three main factors:

​1. Charter & Sanctioning Status
​Little League International requires every league to have a specific geographic charter.
​Fairchance Youth League is a sanctioned member of Little League International (PA District 9).

​2. Smithfield Youth League operates as an independent recreational league that does not hold its own separate Little League International charter for tournament play.

​3. By trying out through Fairchance, Smithfield players are effectively "borrowing" the sanctioned status of the Fairchance charter to participate in official
Little League World Series-tracked tournaments (like the 10U, 11U, or 12U paths to Williamsport).

Thank you to the coaches and parents who came out to participate and look over the littles.

Thank you for your participation in honoring those US Military personnel who died while serving in the armed forces and fought for our freedom!

Anyone participating in the parade is more than welcome to bring a towel or blanket. The trailers may still be a little wet. I am gonna lay a tarp down but a towel or blanket may be more comfortable.

Quick reminder: Parade information for tomorrow: Any and all updates will be posted here.

Please report to the field and be assigned to a coach and trailer. 1245pm

Wear your team shirt, bring candy if you would like. The league has some available but who doesn't want more!?

We will drive the kids on the trailer to the elementary school around 1pm.

After the parade, the float will return to the park, kids will get a small gift and you can sign them out at the park only.

Please do not remove the children during the parade on the route. No rush to getting to the field, we will be there.
Approx 24 kids have responded.
