Johnston Community College Men’s Basketball welcomes Coach Joshua Dorsette to the JCC Jaguars.

Coach Dorsette joins the staff after spending this past season at Fayetteville Technical Community College. A North Carolina native, he also previously served as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Durham School of the Arts, where he built a disciplined, competitive program centered on fundamentals and academic accountability.

He is the Founder and Director of Save Sports Elite, a Durham-based travel program recognized across the Southeast for developing high-character student-athletes, creating college exposure, and fostering leadership on and off the court.

Coach Dorsette’s coaching philosophy emphasizes mental toughness, fundamental development, academic success, and community impact. He is committed to using basketball as a vehicle for growth and opportunity, especially within underserved communities.

He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration and a Master of Science in Sports Management from North Carolina Central University.

Coach Dorsette resides in Durham with his two sons, Joshua II and Josiah.

Coach Jordan Hanner joins the Jaguars.

A proven scorer from High Point, NC, Hanner was a standout at Southwest Guilford and Thomasville Prep 1000+ points in under two years, multiple All-Conference and All-District honors, and a reputation as a true floor leader.

He went on to compete at Trevecca Nazarene University before transitioning fully into coaching, where he’s built his name working with Adidas travel teams, Piedmont Classical HS, and Amandla Academy.
