Learn to Skate at Smithfield Figure Skating Club We offer group lessons & private lessons. The Smithfield Figure Skating Club Learn-to-Skate Program is modeled after U.S. Single blade skates only (sharpened).

We are a United Skating Figure Skating Association program, working with skaters ages 3 through adult, teaching them the necessary skills to enjoy skating recreationally, competitively & even hockey. Figure Skating’s “Skate With U.S.” curriculum and is designed to teach children and adults the basic maneuvers of ice skating. The Learn-to-Skate program is the pre-requisite to advanced training for

all individuals interested in pursuing the competitive aspects of the sport. Private Lessons
Private lessons are available for your skater during the 15 minute freeskate time of their Learn to Skate session. This is a weekly one-on-one lesson with one of our instructors. Coaches are independent contractors and all financial arrangements are made with them directly. Cost varies from $10 to $15 per week for the 15 minute lesson based on the hourly rate of the instructor hired. If you are interested in private lessons for your child, we will put you in touch with an available instructor. Safety
It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that ALL beginner skaters wear a safety or bike helmet. Clothing

Whether you are brand new to skating, or looking to lace up those skates for the first time in years, this is the perfect class.

Class is held on Saturdays from 12-12:25pm and free skate from 12:25-12:50pm.
